Elizabeth Gilbert’s book ‘Eat Pray Love’ was one of the few books I could really get excited about after finishing my degree. Completely wiped out, I found I couldn’t really enjoy reading the way I had before, having completely burnt myself out in trying to graduate. This book felt like a long drink of water for my brain. Honest, interesting, light and funny at times but filled with insight into recovering a life that has…flat-lined? Is that too harsh? Well, I felt like my life was flat-lining after the excitment of college and this book showed me a hopeful view of times to come when I needed one. Hearing the authors take on creativity is so reassuring as someone who hopes to support themself with their art.
I’ve never heard of this site before, TED, but it looks intriguing… ‘Ideas worth spreading’…I think I’m going to enjoy exploring this site.
