Creative Scaffolding

You have 206 bones in your body. One of them is bound to be CREATIVE!

Parisa in Thailand

And why, I hear you ask, would that be useful to you?

Great question! Ever heard of the Right-Side of your brain? It’s the side of your master-computer that you need to engage if you want to bring fresh perspective and solutions to your business and life.

When you feel like everything is stale, been-done-before and lacking originality you have a serious Creativity Deficiency, and when you’re deficient in your Vitamin Creativity, well, it’s like living in Black and White when you’re used to Technicolour!

We need to cultivate Creativity and Right-Brain capacities for such diverse tasks as…

:: Branding
:: Advertising
:: Risk-Assessment
:: Product Development
:: Company Innovation
:: Interpersonal relationships + collaborations
:: Problem-solving
:: Innovation

…as well as LIFE-ENRICHMENT!

:: hobbies
:: relaxation
:: life satisfaction
:: joy

Not bad for something that is often dismissed off-hand as finger-painting and time-wasting.

“Go into the Arts. I’m not kidding. The Arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”
~ Kurt Vonnegut

Fire HeartThis is serious business folks!

Brené Brown (of ‘The Power of Vunerability’ Ted Talk) singles out Creativity as one of the universal traits of people who live ‘wholeheartedly’.

“Unused creativity is not benign. It matastizices. It turns into grief, rage, shame, judgement, sorrow but we are divine beings and we are, by nature, creative.”
~ Brené Brown speaking to Oprah Winfrey on Super Soul Sunday

>> Are you stale and stuck in the same old routine of mindless living?

>> Is your business fading into the white-noise of what everyone else is doing?

>> Have your creative juices dried up? Is your well of ideas empty?

>> Do you feel a calling, an urgency, to tap into a part of yourself no one has paid attention to in years?

>> Are you crippled by chronic procrastination, self-doubt or a sense of under-achieving in your life?

CREATIVE SCAFFOLDING is a 4-week guided adventure to unlock your innate Artist, find your own personal frame-work for engaging creativity and court inspiration in all you do!

I wouldn’t wish ‘…grief, rage, shame, judgement, sorrow…‘ on my worst enemy and I certainly don’t want it for you, which is way I am so passionate about helping people get on board with their own Creativity!

Over the 4 weeks we cover…

:: how you best like to express yourself
:: how procrastination might just be your FRIEND!
:: how to overcome any block (even the biggie ‘I’ve got no time!’ block…)
:: why talent really doesn’t matter
:: what to do when the inspiration dries up
:: why collaboration is the best thing since sliced bread!

Here’s what we’ll get up to during CREATIVE SCAFFOLDING:

~ A weekly live call-in for support, questions and a chance to go deeper into the weeks lesson.

~ PDF lessons for you to print-off, read, scribble all over and keep forever.

~ Guided meditations to help you access the seat of your creativity, yours to download and keep forever.

~ Prompts and resources to help you take the lessons further if you want to, drawing from a wide-range of sources including the yoga-energetics-metaphysical world to exclusive interviews with creatives from all walks of life.

~ A private Facebook community where you can ask questions and feel supported in a safe, judgement-free environment.

~ Unlimited access to me for the entire course.

You will leave CREATIVE SCAFFOLDING with…

:: an understanding of your unique creative process
:: tools to use when faced with creative blocks or self-doubt
:: an understanding of where creativity fits into your life and business and why it’s important to you
:: meditations and tools to use anytime you feel stuck, lost or uninspired
:: a community of creative cohorts
:: a trusting in your creative ability

I have previously offered this course in-person in Vancouver and charged $200 for the experience. This is my first time offering it online and I’ve taken this chance to revamp my material and tailor it specifically for the online experience.

Because of this I’m offering this round of CREATIVE SCAFFOLDING at a deeply discounted rate of $95. I want there to be no barrier to you joining me on this adventure!

CREATIVE SCAFFOLDING starts on SATURDAY, 8th June 2013, with lessons being sent out on Mondayss, live call-ins on Wednesday and extra materials sent out on Fridays.

Your investment will be $95 for this round – 50% less than what is normally charged.

Sooooo, like, why take a course from me?! Good question! Because I WALK my TALK! I’m a musician, writer & crafter. Art is my passion and my work. (<— hey, that’s me…and I knit that hat!)

My name is Parisa Roohipour. I hold a Bachelor of Music (BMus) in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee, College of Music. I’m a singer-songwriter and have played flute and tinwhistle since I was 7. I am a yoga teacher (200 hr YTT, Semperviva Yoga College) and work for, in my humble opinion, the coolest yoga studio in Vancouver. I am wholly fascinated by how much yoga can benefit and support the Creative. In fact I owe getting my degree to the free yoga class that one of our professors offered each week in college.

I’ve lived the crazy Artist life; stressed out, burnt out, worked creatively dry…and it f*$king sucked! I survived crazy-making Art school and absorbed all the lies of the day our society perpetuates about Artists (we’re crazy/broke/unreliable/high/stupid/going nowhere fast…).

I didn’t want to be crazy and I didn’t believe I had to be to make good Art so I ditched the baggage and went my own merry way…and low-and-behold, it was just fine! Learn from my crazy mistakes so you don’t ever have to be!

Say hello in the comments below, email at lightinglittlefires@gmail.com or on Facebook and I tweet @LittleFires. Feel free to ask any questions, level any concerns, voice any queries. That is what I’m here for…
